Many schools provide an excellent education, but curriculum alone does not dictate a child's success in school...or in life. Having a sense of place, of belonging, of being understood and appreciated - those emotional ties are the fertile ground allowing your child to grow and to reach for the sky.
Hendricks provides an outstanding academic experience. What makes our school different is that we embrace the differences among our students. We do not try to fit children into molds of what is typical. We celebrate what makes each student unique. We meet our students where they are academically and emotionally. We build trust and respect.
We provide a place where your child feels safe to think, to question...to grow.
Hendricks’ comprehensive program goes far beyond the core curriculum of English, reading, writing, math, science and social studies. Our students are exposed to advanced studies, the arts, technology, and other learning programs that nurture the whole child. Our curriculum is complete, challenging and focused on what is important for each student - For Life. Click on the following links for more information:

Critical Thinking and Habits of Mind
For over a decade, Hendricks has been recognized as a leader in teaching critical thinking. Our philosophy is to teach students how to think, not what to think. Woven into the fabric of Hendricks' comprehensive curriculum are real life lessons that build our student's emotional intelligence - that develop their skills as visionaries, critical thinkers and decision makers. We also incorporate Habits of Mind training in everything that we do at Hendricks. Created by Dr. Arthur Costa, Habits of Mind are 16 characteristics of individuals who behave intelligently when faced with a new situation or problem. This approach to intelligent reasoning and decision making - inquiry, analysis, thoughtful evaluation - are life skills that enable our students to apply knowledge contextually, rather than simply reproducing facts and figures. Most importantly, it helps them to become effective thinkers and more reflective leaders throughout their lives. Learn More
